Riding lessons are offered at HorsePower Riding Academy (HPRA) from Monday to Saturday. The safety of riders and horses is of paramount concern at HPRA, and riders are taught and supervised to ensure safe riding and behaviour with and around horses. Helmets must be worn when riding HPRA horses and ponies.

Please text Sandie on 0404 868 846 or send an email to horsepowerriding@bigpond.com, and we will get back to you to arrange a time to suit.

Private lessons are $40 for half an hour; $70 for an hour.
Group lessons are $30 for half an hour; $50 for an hour.
If you don’t have your own helmet, HPRA will supply one at no charge.

Term payments must be made by direct deposit into the HorsePower Riding Academy bank account before commencement of the term.

HorsePower Riding Academy is fully insured. Riders or their parents/guardians if they are under 18 years of age are required to fill out an HPRA terms and conditions and indemnity form before riding. This form also includes information about what to wear for safety, cancellation policy, etc.

Gymkhanas

HPRA puts on a gymkhana from time to time, either on HPRA horses or on your own horse. Drinks, fruit, ribbons and prizes are included. Cost is $80 per rider. Please text Sandie on 0404 868 846 or send an email to horsepowerriding@bigpond.com, for details of the next HPRA gymkhana.

Agistment

HPRA offers a range of agistment options which include stabling, shared paddock, feeding (twice a day) and putting on and taking off of rugs, depending on weather conditions. Welfare of both horses and people is the primary concern at HPRA, and we can arrange vet, chiropractor, dental and farrier services. Agistment costs range from $150 to $240 per week, depending on the level of agistment. All horses must also be wormed on arrival and then every six weeks ($25 per treatment). More details about HPRA agistment is on our Agistment page.
