Friday 30 September was the last day of the three-day camp held last week. In the morning, the camp attendees decorated their ponies with paint and by plaiting their manes. Then there was a morning gymkhana, with riders practising their skills by riding around different competition courses and trying to be fastest back to the starting point. Competitions were mostly two riders at a time, which meant ponies and riders could be matched for experience. For those who weren’t yet confident enough, they were either led with a lead rope or followed a more experienced rider. This enabled everyone to enjoy the gymkhana at their own level.
I will let the photographs describe how much enjoyment Sandie and the horses and ponies provided to all who attended.
